Women of the Christmas Story
A beautiful full color, four week study on the women surrounding the Christmas Story.
Do you ever wonder if God will really use your life, your story, for His purpose?
The eight women in this study could have wondered the same thing. Yet they were used for a great purpose — they are Women of the Christmas Story.
They are not a part of this great Christmas story because they were all there on that special day that Jesus was born. No, they were not physically there that night. Yet each one of these women played an important role in the story of Jesus.
These women didn’t have a glamorous life. They weren’t from the perfect home with the perfect parents. They did not have perfect life stories. They weren’t famous queens, or come from a long line of royal blood. No, these women had messy lives. They were broken. They had trials and deep sadness. They had wounds and hurts. They just did.
These women had names they were called; labels they or others around them made them wear. Widow, lonely, helpless, controlled, abused, rejected, ignored, sinner, harlot, lier, stranger, interrupted, preoccupied, passive, people pleaser, barren, old, forgotten, and reproached.
Yet each one of these women God picked for a very special purpose. Why? Because they were perfect? No. But because God is perfect. He chose them and hand-picked them for His great Christmas Story. Furthermore, He redeemed them. He blotted out each label. He wrote new names for these girls. He told a beautiful and redemptive story with their life.
God placed them inside His great redemption story, His Jesus, Christmas Story. And He wants to do the same for you.
