God is my counselor

My God is my counselor

I’ve been listening to several Ramsey Company podcasts. You’ve probably heard of the company. People call in and tell them their money situation and they give them advice on what to do. Sometimes I relate to the caller’s question, sometimes they are so far out of my league. Money making and debt amount LOL. I’m ok not relating sometimes (if you know what I mean. Lol I do not want to be in debt to my eyeballs.)

After several callers that I can’t relate to…. I begin to long to be one of those callers. I just wish I could lay it all out in front of someone and ask them what we should do.

Not just about money though. I’d love advice on everything. Work, our house, how much should I try to grow a business, what risks should we take, how should we raise our girls, what will strengthen our marriage? … I have a lot of questions!

Do you ever dream of making an appointment with someone who will counsel you in the right way?

Whew. I do.

The first attribute we are studying this week is exactly that. . . My God is a Counselor.

My God is a Counselor.

It feels like a lot of work to get an appointment with God. But it’s not. It feels like He’s so far away. But He’s not. It feels like His answers take so long and are so far away. But they aren’t.

The key is relationship. The key is listening to His voice. The key is getting into the BIble.

He is always right here, waiting on you to come to Him for counsel. My God is… my counselor.

He is always right here, waiting on you to come to Him for counsel.

This Week’s Theme Verse

“I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭16‬:‭7‬
