Not About Me & Me Being Honest
“This life is not about me.
It’s about joining hands with Jesus to fulfill whatever tasks He sets
before me and to share His love with all He brings my way.”
Lysa TerKeurst
This is the story of the last couple weeks in my life. Joining hands with Jesus.
Sometimes this is hard. Sometimes this is easy or a good fit.
This task of writing and sharing with all of you is awesome. I love it!
Honestly though the technical side of it all has been HARD.
And so, I am going to admit to you all this is hard. All this web design, and programming and the commenting plugin issues and Facebook plugin problems and hosting issues. And widgets wrong and contact forms sending without any content. Setting up backups and Facebook Apps. It has been hard. I have learned a lot.
God has prepared me for this.
God made me for this purpose.
I am just partnering with Him.
It feels right.
Yet I’m am tired.
So. This post is my Wednesday blog. I have no encouraging words or enlightening thoughts to share. I have so many things on my heart to share, so stick around, yet for tonight I need to share my weakness and be ok with that.
“If We’re Honest” -By FRANCESCA BATTISTELLI
Truth is harder than a lie
The dark seems safer than the light
And everyone has a heart that loves to hide
I’m a mess and so are you
We’ve built walls nobody can get through
Yeah, it may be hard, but the best thing we could ever do, ever do
Bring your brokenness, and I’ll bring mine
‘Cause love can heal what hurt divides
And mercy’s waiting on the other side
If we’re honest
If we’re honest
Don’t pretend to be something that you’re not
Living life afraid of getting caught
There is freedom found when we lay
our secrets down at the cross, at the cross
Bring your brokenness, and I’ll bring mine
‘Cause love can heal what hurt divides
And mercy’s waiting on the other side
If we’re honest
If we’re honest
It would change our lives
It would set us free
It’s what we need to be
Bring your brokenness, and I’ll bring mine
‘Cause love can heal what hurt divides
And mercy’s waiting on the other side
If we’re honest
If we’re honest
